Our online consultation system, Open Debate, makes community and stakeholder engagement more accessible, interactive and auditable; inevitably helping record valuable support for new plans, projects or developments.
The system currently helps a range of businesses, including renewable energy developers, house builders, leisure companies and planning bodies, to consult with more people than the more traditional consultation methods do, reaching people who wouldn't normally take part in consultation.
Presenting all the information normally produced for the planning process and inviting local people to register and comment online, means that consultation becomes a simple and interactive process, and that all data is fully auditable. We use search engine optimisation and marketing, social media tools and digital PR to help drive people to our online consultations.

We are currently managing the public consultation process for Energy Power Resources Ltd's Thetford Renewable Energy Plant. The Plant is proposed for land north of Thetford and is predicted to generate 40MWe by burning waste wood. We have launched an online consultation; are running public and stakeholder exhibitions and have sent letters and newsletters to residents, councillors and third party groups. Consense also carried out initial research, compiled a consultation strategy, and is managing media relations.
