Thames Tunnel online consultation
Following a competitive tendering process, Consense was appointed by Thames Water to develop an online consultation that facilitated accessible and auditable consultation on route options and 107 potential construction sites for the proposed Thames Tunnel. The tunnel will help deal with the unacceptable volume and frequency of untreated sewage overflowing into the River Thames in London. Commencement of the main construction on the tunnel is anticipated for 2013. Our Open Debate online consultation system enabled participants to comment on the individual construction sites by searching an interactive map by postcode or borough, or by clicking on a site. The system compiled and reported on feedback received online, with us also adding offline responses received by Thames Water into a specially developed section of the system. This ensured all data was managed using a single tool with a full audit trail.
Consense has worked tirelessly to ensure that our project was delivered on time. We are impressed by the functionality of the system allowing us to manage valuable feedback from all 107 sites together, improving our ability to produce reports at the click of a button.
