SMart Wind Offshore Wind Farm online consultation
SMart Wind, a joint venture between Mainstream Renewable Power and Siemens, is one of the nine consortia awarded the rights to apply for permission to develop an offshore wind farm by The Crown Estate. The 4GW “Hornsea” zone is adjacent to the River Humber, south of Newcastle and just north of The Wash. Consense was approached to design and develop the online community and stakeholder consultation allowing visitors to read up-to-the-minute information on the development. Registered users can send in their comments and ask questions, and download the latest project documents and view real-time Metocean Data from the project site. SMart Wind can respond to queries and send out project email updates using the Open Debate system. All comments and responses are recorded against the registered user to maintain a clear, recorded dialogue. Potential suppliers to the project can register their details and submit a PDF brochure via the online consultation.
