Partnerships for Renewables
Various projects
Partnerships for Renewables (PfR) was set up by the Carbon Trust in 2006 to develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects on public sector land. We provide a variety of services to PfR, supporting them with their community relations activities across the UK. We have developed a corporate website which has a content management tool enabling PfR to both manage the website and create individual project microsites. Each project microsite can be used to facilitate online consultation via a questionnaire and the feedback collected can be managed and reported on using their Open Debate system. The system is also used by PfR to keep a record of communication with other contacts, such as local councillors, interest groups and local residents.
In addition to this online work, we also provide regular design and print services to PfR for their community engagement materials, including newsletters and exhibition displays.
One of our key objectives is to engage with the local community at all stages of a project to ensure we understand and address their concerns. The innovative system developed by Consense helps us to involve more of the community in each project.
