Tree top adventure course people Go Ape launched “Zip Wild” in 2010, a new brand and experience where users are carried high above the forest floor on a network of zip lines. Go Ape were proposing a new Zip Wild course in woodland at Moel Famau Country Park, Wales, and they wanted to consult with the local community. We were asked to develop an online consultation, similar to the ones we created for their proposed Go Ape sites. They wanted to encourage an open dialogue between the local residents and themselves, as the developer, and for the process to be as transparent as possible and so we developed a Discussion Wall. Registered online consultation users can post comments on the project and Go Ape can tag below a reply. Both the user’s comment and Go Ape’s response are in full view to both registered and non-registered users.
