Cedars Park, consultation management
Consense managed community consultation on the second and final phases of Crest Nicholson’s Cedars Park, a mixed-use development to the north of Stowmarket in Suffolk.
The second phase looked to consult on proposals for the village centre, which would provide a focal point for Cedars Park, comprising retail units, a community centre, flats and a pond and plaza area. We managed a public exhibition on behalf of Crest, devising an appropriate strategy and invitee list, producing invitations, a press release and press advert, sending invitation to existing Cedars Park residents and reporting on feedback received at the event.
The final phase consultation focused specifically on the community centre itself and associated open space landscaping. Cedars Park residents were invited to a further public exhibition to comment on the proposed layout of the community centre and to discuss its potential uses so these could be considered in shaping final plans.
Cedars Park is one of five developments we have managed consultation for, acting as the preferred supplier for the Eastern region, providing a range of support on a flexible basis.
Consense has run five public consultations for Crest Nicholson (Eastern) Ltd since 2007 for residential developments of varying sizes. All have been managed very effectively and as such Consense has become our preferred supplier in the East of England. With public and stakeholder consultation now a crucial part of the planning process, it’s vital we offer the right opportunities for people to view our proposals and have their say; we trust Consense to deliver this for us and provide valuable reporting to support our applications. Their ability to offer all services under one roof, from exhibition displays and publicity to analysis of feedback, means work can be done to short timescales and often
